Kid Friendly DIY Mother's Day Gifts

What is better then a homemade gift? Nothing beats it, especially when it's from a child. As a mom, I love receiving little crafts and scribbled papers from my 2 year old. That's why I make something with my son for his father on his birthdays and fathers day.

They are cherished and appreciated more then you can imagine.

So before shopping around for gifts, take a look at the adorable DIY mother's day crafts you can make with the kids. No matter what mom figure you are gifting them to, I'm sure they will love either one of these...or maybe more then one.

I even included one that I think would be perfect for dads to make with their kids for mom. Most dads are not fans of DIY projects, but this one is a winner.

Let's begin with my favorite one

FOOTPRINT STOOL
The perfect way to revamp an old footstool. Simply Kierste created this adorable foot stool with her kids. Besides the adorable little footprints on the stool, the other great thing about this is that it is a functional gift. Head on over there to find out how to make it, it's fairly simple.

HAND PRINT BOUQUET
Contstruction paper, and washable paint is all you need for this colorful bouquet. See how it's made at The Trendy Treehouse

CRYSTALLIZED BEACH ROCKS
How cool do these look? Jackie on Happy Hooligans gets the credit for this one. It looks like it would be super fun for the kids to do!

STEPPING STONES
Dads, are you paying attention to this one? I think this one is perfect and easy for not so crafty dads to do with their kids for mom. Visit Pink and Green Mama to see how they made this one.

These next two are perfect for grandma! They are very similar, but since they are from two different wonderful blogs, I'm giving them their own spotlight.

"GARDEN" APRON
Little Page Turners got creative with her kids and made this adorable apron for grandma. I love the finished products, and looking through the pictures on her blog on how she created all of the different parts was pretty cool.

HAND PRINT APRON
This is another one from Simply Kierste I love the chalkboard look of this one, that is my favorite part. But of course you don't have to use a black apron, you could go for another color.

Pamper Mom!

SCENTED BATH SALTS
Only 5 ingredients and a cute little jar is all this one takes! bitzngiggles nailed this one.

BATH BOMB
I found this bath bomb recipe on Red Ted Art, and It's actually the only bath bomb recipe I've found that doesn't use citric acid!

All of the pictures and ideas in this post are not mine, I went on the hunt for these crafts. But made sure to give credit to everyone who did come up with them.

I encourage you to take a moment on each of their websites to check them out, they are pretty awesome and kid friendly. Tons of ideas for tiny hands.
