Crispy baked chicken wings

There is just one secret to a truly crispy baked chicken wing, and that is BAKING POWDER! Can you believe it? The first time I heard it, I was skeptical. I have tried a recipe which mixes baking powder and flour, but they turned out way too soft for my liking. So I am sharing today what worked for me.

First, preheat your oven to 250 degrees. Now you will need the chicken wings, you can do this two ways. You can either cut the full wing into two pieces, or leave them whole. I left them whole for this recipe.

Next, you need to season them. I used a mixture of sazon, and Adobo. I seasoned all the wings in a mixing bowl, covered with saran wrap and left them in the fridge for about an hour or two.

After you have seasoned your wings with whatever seasonings you have chosen, coat all of the wings with baking powder. Place a rack on top of a baking sheet and put the wings on the rack skin side up.

Place the wings in the preheated 250 degree oven for 30 minutes on the bottom rack of the oven.

After 30 minutes, move the wings to the middle rack of the oven, increase the oven temperature to 425 degrees and cook for 40-50 minutes, flipping the wings after 20 minutes.

Remove them from the oven and serve!
When I sat down to eat, I literally pulled the wing and drumstick apart from each other with hardly any force. They fall off the bone and are delicious! I hope you enjoy, I know me and my family did :)

Have you made this? Let me know how it turned out in the comments below!
