My Favorite French Toast Recipe


Do you find yourself not wanting to make french toast because it always comes out too soggy, or just not tasting like french toast should? Well I'm about to share the recipe I came across when I was tired of making not so good french toast. I was embarrassed to serve it to my family. But ever since I made it like this, it was a big hit and everyone loved it! Keep reading to learn how to make the best french toast EVER right from home!

What you will need:

  • 8 slices of white bread
  • 8 Large egs
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon ( or how much you like )
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt
  • 4 tablespoons of melted butter
  • powdered sugar for serving
  • syrup
PREHEAT YOUR OVEN TO 300 DEGREES F

Lay your 8 slices of bread on a baking sheet, it is okay if they overlap a little bit. Bake the bread in the oven for 6 minutes, flip them, and return them to the oven for another 6 minutes.
Set your bread aside to cool
Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a mixing bowl. Pour it into a large casserole dish. 
Heat your frying pan under medium to medium-low heat. Lay two pieces of your baked bread flat on top of the mixture on both sides for about 30 seconds to a minute, or as long as it takes for the bread to soak up the mixture without breaking apart when picked up. Melt about a tablespoon of butter in your frying pan and then add your pieces of bread.
Cook until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside and thoroughly cooked on the inside. Repeat until all 8 slices are done.
