Amazing Christmas Mantels

christmas banner merry decoration xmas mantel decorations decorating ideas lizforeverrr

Christmas is my favorite holiday. So I love looking at everyone's decorations every year, whether it's driving through town or looking at pictures on my computer.

Today, I thought I would share with you some amazing mantel's decorated for Christmas. Unfortunately, I can not take inspiration from these because I don't have a mantel to decorate. But I think there is a mantel in here for you, no matter your taste.

I gathered my favorite ones from all over the internet for you, enjoy!

This mantel is very bold, and beautiful! It uses the traditional Christmas colors, and most of the decorations are Christmas bulbs. Which, somehow seem to multiply in most homes.

If you don't have very many Christmas decorations, or you just don't feel like going all out this one is definitely for you. The stockings are the statement piece, while everything else is very simple.

How beautiful is this one? Kind of similar to the first one, but a little bit more toned down. Although it might not look that way because there are a lot more lights.

Winter Wonderland! That is what this one reminds me of, and that is why I love it so much

This is one I found interesting, because somehow I have never seen anyone put light up snowmen on their mantel. It gives just the right amount of decoration on top.

Another simple, but gorgeous set up!

Gorgeous white decorations with pops of blue, simple and elegant.

As you can tell, this one is out of the box. Definitely different then what most people do, but it is amazing. It looks great and fun.

Have I included too much blue? I'm sorry but it is so beautiful!!

Last but not least, another creative one! This one is colorful, and has a countdown to Christmas. But, most of all, I saw another one like this one with goodies inside each day like a diy advent calendar, which blew my mind.

I hope these mantels put you in the Christmas spirit, and give you inspiration! Leave me your feedback in the comments, and don't forget to subscribe by email at the top side bar to never miss a post!

Pregnancy Update!

I'm Pregnant with baby number 2!!!

I know I haven't posted in a while, but I have been feeling so sick and my energy levels are very low. As some of you may know if you follow me on social media, I have a little boy who will be 2 in about a week. So it hasn't been easy chasing him around and feeling like I have to puke 24/7. But I am loving every minute of it, because it is such a blessing to be able to give my son a little brother or sister.

I am so excited to be having my second baby. This pregnancy so far has been so much different then my first, so let's get into the symptoms.

Today I am 9 weeks 6 days pregnant and my symptoms...they have been hard. I usually keep my house very clean, and it has been the complete opposite lately. Luckily, my wonderful boyfriend has been helping out as much as he can..since he does work full time. But I have been slowly getting my energy back, so that's something good out of that symptom.

Another symptom that has been terrible since week 4...nausea. Nausea is one thing I am terrible at dealing with, I don't want to get off the sofa or do anything when I am nauseous. Which..may I add has been completely impossible since I have a 2 year old to take care of. Luckily, I have been able to control it 50% of the time, as long as my nausea is because I am hungry I can get rid of it. But if it is just random nausea, the only thing that takes that away is if I end up puking.

That's another thing though, it is hard for me to not get nauseous at all during the day because of hunger...since I am hungry every 10 minutes. Literally, no matter how much I eat or how often I eat..I am always hungry. And to be honest, it is pretty annoying. I never dealt with this symptom when I was pregnant with my son, so it is completely new to me. Of course I was more hungry then usual with my son, but not to this extent.

So I did have my first OBGYN appointment already, but it was a pretty boring appointment. Just a bunch of questions, since I don't live in the same area as I did in my first pregnancy I have a new doctor. I did get some news that I am not too happy about since I had complications with my first pregnancy and gave birth to my son at 34 weeks, that comes with precautions this time. My doctor is going to give me a shot every week at a certain point in my pregnancy to prevent premature labor. I mean, it is obviously a great thing to be able to prevent premature labor, but I do still have to talk to her about the side effects and things like that.

I will be getting my first ultrasound in a couple weeks, as soon as I can schedule it. Because at this point, I have no idea how many babies I am growing right now. Which is kind of scary considering twins do run in my family!

So that's it for this pregnancy update, I will not be posting these every week just because not much changes in a week. I will probably do around every two weeks, but if anything happens between that time I will probably post an early one. So make sure to subscribe through email to my blog to get notified when I publish a new post. I promise you will not get any emails from me unless I post.

My Current Makeup Favorites

The products I am sharing with you today are those which I have been using for a month straight without a question. I reach for these everyday when I do my makeup. With these products, I can create natural looks, or more dramatic looks. I will never share products with you if I did not like them, well...unless I am writing a bad review.

Also, I thought I should mention that all of these products were bought with my own money, and this post is in no way sponsored by anyone.

The first product I will like to talk about is this MANNA KADAR lip locked priming gloss stain. This color is the perfect nude for my skin color, since I am very pale I don't like very pale nudes. This one is in the shade "lucky" it is a slightly pinkish nude. It flatters my skin color, and it glides on very easily, and it is not extremely glossy. It gives the perfect amount of gloss and color to your lips. It retails for $14.95 on amazon, and there are 7 other colors.
Here is the link to this product: MANNA KADAR "LUCKY" PRIMING GLOSS STAIN

Next up, the Alice Through the Looking Glass palette from Urban Decay. I love the color range in this palette so much, there are toned down colors and then there are more intense colors also. All of the colors in this palette have at least a little bit of shimmer in them. There is no mattes what so ever. But that is what I like, because usually similar colors in other palettes do not have shimmer in them. The color payoff is great, but I wouldn't test that with a swatch with your finger...I have done it with my finger and a brush, and let me tell you there is a big difference. Some shadows swatch differently then when you are actually applying to a brush, so keep that in mind when purchasing eye shadow palettes. My favorite color in this palette is called "Heads will Roll" and it is the 4th color in the first row. This color is a very shimmery turquoise, and it is GORGEOUS! You can purchase this palette directly on the Urban Decay website, or at ulta and sephora, and it retails for $60

Now this product is a little out of my comfort zone, so I was a little hesitant to buy it...but I am glad that I did. This is the NYC Expert Last lipstick in the shade "Forever Fuchsia" number 447. It is a VERY bright pink with a the tiniest bit of shimmer to it, and a little glossy-ness. I usually apply one light layer to my top and bottom lip and i'm good. Unless I am going out somewhere at night, then I will go a little bit heavier, because it is a very intense color. You can purchase this at basically any drugstore, walmart, etc. It usually retails for less then $2

The next product is the Urban Luxe 99 color eye shadow palette by bh cosmetics. This palette also contains mostly shimmery shades. But they are all so pigmented and creamy, which is AWESOME because since it is a 99 color palette the pan sizes are pretty small. Which means they you will run out faster, right? Not exactly, since the pigment is so only need a little bit at a time. So you get the most out of each color. I use this on a daily basis, because there are just so many shades in here, and to be quite honest if you don't have any palettes right now this is the one to get because there is a huge selection of colors. Again, with this palette you can create softer looks, or more intense. You can purchase this palette at the bhcosmetics website and it retails for $28, BUT right now they are having a sale, and this palette is priced at $14!! I don't know how long the sale will last, so go check it out before it's too late.

I am so glad I bought this next product on the list, which is the Maybelline New York master precise liquid eyeliner in the shade "black" Now, I forgot to take a shot of the tip of this, but it is very "precise" like the name. The tip is velvet, and it glides on your eyes with no problem. If you have issues doing the perfect wing, this product can help with that. I'm not telling you that you will never mess up your liner again, but it definitely helps you master your liner. Another thing I love about this liner is that it lasts very long, one night I fell asleep with this on and woke up the next day with it looking exactly like it did the day before. Don't quote me on that though, maybe it was the way I slept...but I thought I would mention it. I bought mine at walmart, but i'm sure you can find it at any drugstore, walmart, etc. and it retails for around $8. (I found mine at walmart for $8)

Now time for some tools! These are my go to brushes, and they are AMAZING. From left to right I am going to name the brush just in case it is too hard to see in the picture I took.
Morphe M508, Morphe M505, Morphe M330, Morphe M510, Morphe M504
What do I use each of them for? M508( cleaning up liquid lipstick around my lips, and blending lower lash line) M505(blending) M330(blending crease) M510(highlighting) M504(blending)
As you can tell, almost all of these are amazing blending brushes. One key to mastering your makeup is the kind of brush you are using, if you are using the wrong brush your makeup will continue to look the same. Make sure you are using a fluffy brush for blending, because it will make blending a breeze. I received these in the morphe brush subscription box, but you can find them on

Next on the list is something I can not live without, mascara! This is the Maybelline Pumped Up Collosal Volume mascara, and it is waterproof. The packaging is gorgeous, and the brush on it is very fluffy which I love. I have long lashes alone without mascara, and it just sets them higher and gives them way more definition. Another thing is that it is easy to build up on my lashes without clumping, I wipe the brush off a little bit on the edge of the tube to get the excess off, and then I apply my coat or coats of mascara. A little tip, if you are having issues with mascara clumping sometimes it helps to brush you lashes with a lash brush, and wipe your mascara wand off a little bit before applying. You can again, purchase this at any drugstore, walmart, etc and it retails for around $6 (I found mine at walmart for $5.40)

The next product I was actually hesitant to buy because I have dry skin, and sometimes powder can cause a disaster on your face if you have dry skin. This is the Maybelline Fit Me Set+Smooth powder, which means it sets your makeup and also smooths your face. The packaging states it is for normal to dry skin, so everyone can use it. I don't use it alone, I apply it over top of the next product below and it makes my makeup look flawless, and definitely feels very light weight. Inside when you open it up, the powder is right on top, and there is another flip up which contains the mirror and a sponge to apply. Although, I don't use the sponge for my whole face I solely use it to set my under eyes along with this powder and it actually works...and then I use a fluffy blush brush to apply the powder to the rest of my face. This one is in the shade porcelain 110. and you can purchase this basically at any drug store that sells maybelline products, walmart, etc. and it retails for around $5 (I found mine at walmart for $4.97)

Last but not least, foundation! This is the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth. This one is for normal to dry skin, and it is AMAZING. Literally, this foundation is my favorite out of all foundations I have used in the past. It gives you the perfect dewy look for summer without making your face look like it is just greasy. It actually hydrates your skin and gives a natural looking finish along with being lightweight. When I wear this, I don't feel like I have makeup on at all. Mine is in the shade Classic Ivory 120, and you can purchase this at walmart, or any drug store. It retails for around $5 (Walmart for $4.97)

And that wraps up my favorites for this month, as you probably noticed...I did not mention any concealer, blush, or bronzer. Well, that is because I haven't found one that I am totally in love with right now. I have been using a blush from maybelline, but it is so worn out that a picture wouldn't do anything for it. As for the bronzer, it may be hard to believe...but I don't use bronzer at all.

My Hair Care Favorites (Affordable)

I created a poll on twitter asking you guys what you wanted to see next, and the winner was my hair care favorites. So I am going to share with you the products I use all the time, recently discovered that I love already, and what I use them for!

First, is a product I have been using for about three years now. I re-purchase it every time I am almost out. Meet, the Fantasia Frizz Buster...

I am not exaggerating when I say that I refuse to straighten my hair without this product. It keeps my hair from frizzing and becoming an afro while I straighten my hair because I do have wavy/curly hair. Also, it makes my hair so smooth and silky...I will NEVER give this product up. When using this product, you only need a little tiny drop for each section of hair you are going to straighten. I find it works best if you section out your hair like you normally would, and apply right before you are going to straighten each strand. I have tested it another way, which was applying it on all of my hair at one time, and it didn't work as well as the other way. I recommend this product to anyone struggling with frizzy dry hair that is hard to straighten!

Next, is coconut oil!...

I only apply this once in a while when my hair is extremely frizzy when I am trying to curl my hair without a curling iron. I do have wavy/curly hair so I use a diffuser and a couple other products to enhance my curls. When I notice that my hair is frizzy right after washing it, I apply this all over my hair, while getting the least amount as possible on my roots because that will weigh my hair down and make it flat.

My next favorite product is by "Not your mothers" and it is a hair lifter...

This is a sample size bottle by the way, that is why it's so tiny. The actual size bottles are about the size of a mousse bottle. I use this product normally after using coconut oil to give my hair a little bit more volume in the middle and bottom of my hair when I am curling it. It makes my hair pretty soft and nice while still holding the shape. It does not get stiff or anything like a hairspray, its more like a liquid mousse I guess. The bottle does say for thin hair, and my hair is not even close to being thin. I have very thick heavy hair, and it works amazingly!

After using the coconut oil, and hair lifter...I like to go in with a little bit of Suave extra hold shaping mousse if my hair is still not the way I want it to be before diffusing my hair....

Now, when I use too much of this product it definitely weighs my hair down a little bit. So, I like to start with a small amount and add more if needed. I don't use it all the time because sometimes on good hair days I don't need it. I also find that if I end up not using the mousse and just use coconut oil along with the "Not your mothers" product above, I can go longer without washing my hair. Since I have a very dry scalp, my head gets very itchy if I use hairspray or mousse and I can only last two days without washing my hair. Ideally, I like to wash my hair every 3-4 days.

When I necessarily need hairspray...I like to use Aussie's sprunch hairspray..

Like I said before, I don't like to use hairspray all the time. I only use it when I have a "hair emergency" and my hair is not cooperating. But this hairspray is my favorite, it smells amazing and keeps my hair in place.

And, my last hair care favorite is....

This new combination from Tresemme, Beauty-full volume reverse wash. I recieved this for free from influenster, and I haven't put it down ever since. Well, technically I have...but you get the point. I can see and feel the difference in my hair since using this product. My hair is so much more manageable, and definitely gives my hair more volume then I haven't had for years.

That wraps up my hair care favorites! As you can see, I dont use very many products on my hair. Once I found these products in this post, it has been easier and pleasurable to do my hair everyday. If you have any questions about the products listed above, or any questions in general leave them in the comments!

Bad Review of Somasix Magnetic Letters and Numbers

So, I just want to start out by saying that I gave these magnets a fair chance when I received them for $2 instead of full retail price, in exchange for my honest review. I thought it would be a perfect thing to keep my son away from the stove while I am making dinner, but it turns could have injured him if I wasn't as aware of what he was doing while playing with them.

NOTE**When I received the product, it was in great condition, the box was not destroyed either.

I was so exited to receive this product, so as soon as it arrived, I opened the box and put all the letters on my fridge for my son. He had just turned 1, so he was old enough to play with them under supervision. As I was doing the dishes, he was sitting on the floor playing with them one minute.

Next thing I know, I looked over and noticed he had something in his mouth. So I went and was the little square magnet off of the letters!! Since I didn't know exactly how the magnet came off, I was interested.

So I sat there with him playing with the letters, and all he had to do was basically pull the magnet out from the back of the letters, and it came off. I will remind you again, he was only 1 years old...and it is not acceptable to have the magnets come off that easily. He could have choked very badly if I didn't notice he had a magnet in his mouth.

I was not expecting to make a bad review of this product, because the quality of the magnets definitely looked very durable. But it turns out, they were not. Even though I did receive this product at a heavy discount, I would not purchase these ever again, or recommend them to anyone.

I hope you guys enjoyed this honest review, and if you have any questions regarding this, please leave a comment below!

Amazing No Bean Chili Recipe

Chili without beans? Yes, you can pull it off and it tastes just as amazing.

I used to only eat the ground beef out of my chili, because I hate beans but I love the chili flavor. So I decided to attempt to make chili without the beans, and I nailed it!

I did look up some recipes for no bean chili, but I decided to basically go for it myself. This recipe is very simple, and there is hardly any prep time!

What you will need!

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced (or 1 teaspoon of already minced garlic)
  • 1 large white onion
  • 2 tablespoons of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of hot sauce
  • 1 28oz can of crushed tomatoes

  1. Mince 2 garlic cloves, if you do not have pre-minced garlic
  2. Chop onions

  1. Add ground beef to a stock pot and turn heat to medium-high
  2. Add in the onions and garlic and cook until the ground beef is browned, stirring frequently
  3. Season with chili powder, oregano, and hot sauce.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes
  5. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low
  6. Simmer for an hour- or longer if you have time
  7. Stir occasionally to prevent burning

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I did!! Super easy and super yummy!

Dont forget to leave me your thoughts in the comment section, and share with your friends and family!

Morning Skin Care Routine

Because I am a mother, mornings are hectic and busy for me as soon as my son wakes me up. I don't have enough time to do my skin care as soon as we wake up, so I wait until my son lays down for his nap around 11:30AM.

So let's get to it!

First, after we eat breakfast we brush our teeth together since I am trying to teach him how to brush on his own.

Then, when he goes down for his nap, I head into the bathroom and take a shower, I wash my face with my Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser which will remove any leftover makeup from the night before, and clean my face at the same time. *TIP: RINSE YOUR FACE WITH LUKEWARM WATER*

Then, I grab my garnier skin active brightening and smoothing moisturizer. Which by the way, I have been obsessed with since I got it. I use a dime sized amount or less, because a little goes a long way.

After that, I grab my jericho cosmetics eye serum and tap that under my eyes gently, and then bring it up to my eyelids. *TIP: WHEN APPLYING ANY TYPE OF EYE SERUM, IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU TAP THE PROUCT ON GENTLY, NOT RUB. RUBBING THE EYES CAN CAUSE PREMATURE WRINKLES, WHICH YOU ARE TRYING TO PREVENT WITH THE SERUM*

And that's it!
My skin care routine doesn't consist of complicated steps, or tons of product because I dont have skin problems anymore, so I do not feel the need to use more product on my face then I need.

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser REVIEW

I bought this product randomly one day at my local supermarket as I was looking for a makeup remover and face cleanser. This caught my eye because it is actully a makeup remover and face cleanser in one, and the bottle reads " Removes makeup (even waterproof) without stinging or irritating the eye area". I mean, why not try it out, right?

Anyway, another thing about it by reading the bottle that caught my eye was the word "foaming" for some reason, it just sounded refreshing and it is something I have never tried before. So I bought it, and I do not regret it one bit.

Now, let me note that I have extremely sensitive eyes...and if you are like me then no matter what touches your eyes, even water your eyes burn and get irritated. Before writing this today, I used this product for a month everyday in the shower, and I am still currently using it daily. I absolutely love how it feels on my skin, and how my face feels afterwards. The foam feels so relaxing on my face, and really gives me the feeling of my face being clean.

This product is definately true to the words on the bottle that I mentioned earlier - "gentle on the eyes." As I mentioned earlier, I do have extremely sensitive eyes, and I was very surprised that this did not irritate my eyes at all. I was so hesitant to even try to put it around my eye area, and once I did I was squinting my eyes waiting for the pain. But I had no pain on my eyes, and it removed my eye makeup like it was nothing.

Overall, I love this product and I definately recommend it.

OH, and another great thing about this product is that a little goes a long way!

You can get yours Here on amazon or at your local drugstore, or supermarket where the face products are :)

Garnier Skin Active Moisturizer Review

Review of: Garnier Skin Active- Brightening & Smoothing Daily Moisturizer w/ SPF 15

Sample Size bottle
I used this product everyday for a full month to do an honest review.

My skin is not extremely dry, but I do have very dry spots on my face. Especially on the sides of my nose, on and between my eyebrows. The directions on the bottle say to re-apply every two hours (because it contains SPF.)

I did not re-apply every two hours, because I am a stay at home mom and I am not always constantly exposed to the sun. Even so, I applied this product in the morning when I woke up, and did not need to re-apply at all throughout the day.

My skin remained moisturized, and it still looked and felt smooth and moisturized also. My "dry spots" were still not dry, and this was after having it on my skin all day long.

Everyday that I applied this product to my face, before bed I re-applied so that I wouldn't wake up with my dry spots again. Even though my skin was still moisturized, I re-applied so that my dry spots did not come back overnight.
I am in love with this moisturizer, and I will be using it daily.

At the moment, I am trying out and reviewing another moisturizer, so stay tuned for that review! You can subscribe through email on the side bar of the page, it is free.

If you have any requests for reviews or thoughts on a certain product, feel free to leave me a comment or message me on social media. Which will be linked below :)

Elf 3 in 1 Mascara Review

When I first bought this mascara, and tried it out...I loved it. It definitely made my eyelashes stand out and worked better then any other mascara I have used. It looked very light-weight, natural and definitely defined my lashes. I used this mascara about 3-4 separate times, and each time I was amazed at how it transformed my lashes. I also loved the shape of the brush for this mascara.

Unfortunately the down side to the mascara is that I only got to use it 3-4 times because when I tried to put it on the 5th time, there was absolutely no more product in the bottle and the brush was completely dry. Now, this product is only $3....but honestly I don't feel that it is even worth $3. Because of the tiny bit of product that was in the bottle, it should be priced at $1. It is very disappointing only being able to use a mascara that you loved a couple times because there is not nearly as much product in the bottle as there should be.

Now, lets get into the packaging.
The packaging is very nice, the bottle is matte black with white writing on it and is very light weight. But I can't say whether that is because of the material the bottle is made of, or the tiny bit of product that was in the bottle.

Would I buy it again? Absolutely NOT!

Review suggestions? I will always be 100% completely honest about my opinion on products. Leave me a comment if you want me to do a review on a specific product! :)

Best Chocolate Chip Banana Bread!

Yummy! I'm convinced you, and everyone you know will LOVE this bread!

This chocolate chip banana bread has the perfect amount of sweetness. And it counts as being healthy because of the bananas, right? I made this a couple weeks ago and it was so moist and delicious. It lasted about two days in my house. My 1 year old LOVED it also.

So let's get to it!!
This recipe will make 1 loaf (using a regular size loaf pan)

  • 2 bananas- very over ripe (1 cup mashed, you may need 3 depending on the size)
  • 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare loaf pan by spraying with cooking spray

  1. In a bowl, whisk the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt together.
  2. Mix in the oil, mashed bananas, and eggs.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips, just until they are combined to make sure you are not over mixing it.
  4. Pour the mixture into loaf pan, and bake for 60-80 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean in the center of the bread.

Concealer Tricks

Whether or not you are a makeup professional, or just started experimenting with makeup...It is always good to stay up to date on new tips and tricks. So here are some for concealer.

Under the eye tip: Instead of drawing a triangle under your eye, make a half circle from the inner corner of your eye to the outer corner.

Making eyeliner mistakes? Use concealer on an angled brush to fix them

Looking tired? Place concealer on your brow bone, the middle of your eye lid, and the inner corner of your eye and blend.

Lipstick bleeding? Line the outer edges of your lips with concealer and blend it in. It will keep your lipstick from bleeding.

Eye shadow not staying on? Blend concealer on your eyelids to keep it on and prevent it from settling into your crease.

Meet my son mason!

I have only mentioned my son in one other post, but I thought I would let you guys get to know him, and see pictures. Since he is a huge part of my daily life, I stay at home with him and I have since he was born. I am so grateful to be able to stay home with him and never miss a thing, all thanks to his dad/my boyfriend supporting my decision.

Since my son was born premature, at 34 weeks gestational age I have been so protective over him. But that is no different from any other mother. It was not easy seeing him hooked up to all these things, and it was even harder to walk out of the hospital two days after I gave birth to him, without him. I kept blaming myself, and thinking that maybe there was something I did that caused this. But there was nothing wrong with me that would have caused him to be premature, so I had to get over that.

The day we finally got to hold him was a dream come true. We were happy beyond belief, we waited a week to be able to hold him for the first time. If we could have been by his side 24/7 while he was in the NICU for almost two weeks, we would have been. Our son being in the NICU was the best thing for him, he needed to get better and strong enough to come home without having to come back to the hospital. It also gave me time to heal from having Post Partum Depression. I cried all day, everyday. Even though I went to the hospital to see him every single day, I was very depressed and could not shake it off.

Then, the day came when it was time to bring our baby boy home! It felt like forever, but the day finally came and it was amazing. We would be the ones to hold him, feed him, change his diapers, get peed on, and wipe his tears away. We finally felt like parents, we were finally going to be able to have him beside our bed in his bassinet and wake up to him every single morning.

He had his first bath, his first experience in his baby swing, his first welcome home, and his first time sleeping in his own bassinet.

About a month later, he had his first Christmas! He got so spoiled, even though he was so tiny. I took my own pictures of him in his Christmas outfit, and he also had pictures with Santa ( who he did not like very much .)

Since he was premature, we had to take him to an eye specialist in Philadelphia to make sure his retina was developing the way it is supposed to. It was emotional because he was terrified and in pain once again, it was like I was seeing him in the NICU all over again.

After months of going to the eye specialist, he finally did not have to go anymore, because there was nothing to worry about. Everything was fine with his eyes.

Once he was home, it felt like time went by so fast...and his first birthday came. It felt like we fast forwarded a year, where did the time go?

So we celebrated his first year of life, and he had so much fun. All of my boyfriends family came to our apartment from two hours away to celebrate, and some of my family came also. He was so loved and so spoiled like every baby should be. And it is what I have always dreamed of.

Annndddd...shortly after his birthday we celebrated his second christmas!

Of course he got spoiled once again, because all of those presents under the tree were his :)

Now he is walking all over the place and saying dada, baba, and kitty. It's okay, I know he loves me even though he hasn't said mama yet haha

Here is our baby boy today!

I hope you enjoyed learning about my little boy, my everything.
